The Zeco Kids School Crew Neck T-Shirt (Twin Pack) in Green is a children's bottle green school uniform T-shirt from Zeco Schoolwear, made from 100% combed cotton at 200–210gsm heavyweight and manufactured in India. A non-seasonal piece in the Back to School and PE Kit collections, it features a crew neck with a taped neck seam, a regular fit, and comes as a twin pack — for boys and girls from 2 years through to 18 years. The green is a bottle green tone — a deep, dark green with a blue-leaning base that is the standard shade for UK secondary schools specifying green uniform, and distinct from the brighter emerald or mid-green used by primary schools.

Bottle green is the most widely used dark green shade in UK school uniform and is more common at secondary level than at primary. The majority of secondary schools that specify green as their uniform colour use bottle green rather than emerald — it is the standard shade for green secondary school sweatshirts, blazers, and polos across the UK, and a bottle green crew neck T-shirt worn as the base layer beneath a bottle green sweatshirt is the expected format for schools with this uniform. At primary level, bottle green is used by schools that prefer a more traditional, deeper green over the brighter emerald tones, and it is also used as a house colour in four-house competition systems at both primary and secondary level. The twin pack format provides two identical T-shirts per purchase, ensuring a clean rotation across the school week.

Bottle green is a deeper, denser colourway than emerald and holds its tone well through repeated washing — but the specific fading risk with dark, blue-leaning greens is different from that of mid-toned emerald. As the blue component of a deep green dye fades over time, the green shifts toward a warmer, more olive or khaki tone rather than simply paling. The 200–210gsm heavyweight combed cotton construction provides greater dye density than a lightweight jersey equivalent, which slows the point at which this tonal shift becomes visible. The taped neck seam prevents the neckline from stretching out of shape on a dark-coloured garment, where distortion and internal construction are more visible against the deep background tone.

Care: Machine wash at 40°C with similar dark colours — deep greens, navies, and dark blues. Wash inside out on every cycle to protect the outer dye face from drum abrasion, which is particularly important for deep bottle green where surface dulling and colour loss are most visible against the dark base. Avoid washing with whites or pale colours; while bottle green is less prone to dye transfer than red, deep blue-green dyes can tint pale fabrics at higher temperatures. Do not use detergents with optical brighteners. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat, away from direct sunlight — UV exposure causes the blue component of deep green dyes to fade first, accelerating the shift toward olive or khaki tones. Iron on the reverse at a medium setting.
